Ontario Tech Office of the General Counsel hosting four-week virtual Contracts Intensive Workshop

Does your job require you to source, negotiate and manage contracts? Are you asked to draft statements of work, and review agreements? Not sure about the difference between a ‘no subcontract’ and ‘no assignment clause’? Join Ontario Tech’s Office of the General Counsel for a four-week virtual Contracts Intensive Workshop designed to deepen your understanding of contracts and elevate your contracting skills.

The sessions will take place via Zoom over four weeks, on Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m., on:

  • July 22, July 29, August 12, August 19

(All sessions will be recorded so you can miss a session and still participate.)

Using practical examples, this interactive, virtual workshop will bring you through the basis of contract formation, provide advice for drafting statements of work, and offer tips to ensure you get the work product you expect from the engagement. From services agreements to software licenses, this workshop will help you better understand the language of contracts and will ensure you know what to watch out for when drafting or reviewing agreements on behalf of your department.

Whether you’re new to contracts or an experienced negotiator, this workshop will provide valuable tools and insights for anyone handling agreements at Ontario Tech.
